Sam Blank named new principal at Carver Elementary for 2024-25 school year

Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Sam Blank as the next principal of Carver Elementary School. Blank will succeed Ryan Finke, who is leaving the role for a principalship at an international school abroad. He will start his new role on July 1, 2024.

Blank has over 13 years of diverse experience in education. He currently serves as the administrative dean at Chaska Middle School West, a position he’s held since 2022. Before his time in Eastern Carver County Schools, Blank served as dean, summer school coordinator, classroom teacher, and reading interventionist at the elementary level in the Wayzata School District. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and his master’s and specialist in education degrees from Concordia University-Saint Paul.

Blank earned the position following a rigorous and thorough interview process that included multiple rounds of interviews with various stakeholders. His wealth of experience in education both in and out of the classroom and his commitment to the success of every student make him an excellent fit for his new role in our district. We are proud of Sam’s work in the district and excited to welcome him to Carver Elementary’s community of learners, teachers, and all who work to benefit young people.
